Who can resist this bright colourful quilt depicting space themed fabrics. This quilt was constructed with two primary prints in blues, yellows, greens, oranges and aqua that depict astronauts, planets, and space equipment. The darker print was used for the main blocks and border on the front of the quilt. The same print on a mid-blue background was used for the backing. Alternating the main blocks is a 4-patch block with a bright yellow and white polka dot fabric. The Inner border, corner blocks and binding uses a coordinating blue/green tone on tone fabric.

The double-fold binding was machine sewn to the front of the quilt and hand sewn to the back.

The quilt was quilted in a free motion swirl pattern with cotton thread. The batting is 100% cotton.

The quilt measures 38.5 by 48 inches. making it the perfect size for a crib, toddler bed or playtime on the floor.

The fabrics used in this quilt were washed prior to construction to ensure that colours will not bleed with washing and allow you to use this quilt as soon as it arrives. The quilt is machine washable on a gentle cycle. It can be machine dried on low or hung to dry. Machine drying creates the desired look of shops antique puckering.

My quilts are designed and sewn by me in my home smoke-free studio with only quilt-quality cottons, battings and threads.
