Shops MCM Monochromatic Painting

This impasto seascape has been painted in a thick, rich monochrome yellow ocher giving it a perfect mid century modern vibe. Straight from the 1960s this framed art work was painted with oils or possibly acrylics on plywood. The outside dimensions are 31 tall by 21 inches wide. Its primitive abstracted subject would be certain to add a fun element to any mid century modern home or coastal cottage. We love the way it looks hung up on a wall and have been totally intrigued about the identity of the artist. In the lower right corner there is a simple signature with the word "Bailey", a name we've not yet been able to authenticate.
