Beautiful Hand Made Wooden Music Box engraved with the design shown in the first picture and personalized with your name, initials, or message. You can also choose to add a message on the inside lid of the box. If you are interested in a custom designed box, please see the link at the bottom of the page.

Our Music Boxes
All of our music boxes are made from premium hardwood, no plywood or pressboard! We do not stain or paint any of our music boxes, but apply several finishing coats of lacquer to show off the natural wood grain.
Choose from 4 different woods (shown in the listing photos): Ambrosia Maple, Mahogany, Cherry, and Walnut. Please note that the wood grain will vary from box to box. Ambrosia maple wood varies greatly and can be very light with little variation or very dark with grain contrasts and worm holes. Cherry wood is our second lightest wood and is fairly consistent. Mahogany is a darker reddish wood. Walnut wood is our darkest, please note that walnut wood may not show engraving as well as the other woods.
Each box is hand made. The box is 8"x4.5"x3" with 90-degree antique stop hinges. The bottom of the inside of the box is lined with black velvet with a compartment to store your jewelry or other items.

We have many songs available. See the list of songs available in the drop-down box for this listing and at the bottom of this description. Samples of each tune are available by going to the You Tube link provided below. All of our mechanical wind up song components are 18 note movements. For traditional music boxes, we do not make the mechanical song components. The only songs available are the songs listed. If you would like a custom song, please send us a message and we can direct you to our sister shop's electronic music box section.

To Order
1. From the drop-down boxes, choose your wood type and if you would like text engraving the top of your box only, or the top and inside lid of your box. The top of your box will be engraved with the design shown in the first photo and your custom text. The inside lid will be engraved with your requested text.
2. Choose your song from the drop-down list.
3. In the Text Engraving box, note the text you would like engraved on the top of your box. If you chose to engrave both the top and inside lid, please note the text you would like for the inside lid as well. Please distinguish which text goes on the top and which text goes on the inside lid. If you do not we will use our best judgement for the placement of the text. We do not have a specific limit on number of characters, but keep in mind that the more characters you have, the smaller the font will be. Also note which style font you would like for your engraving. A list of the font choices is shown in the listing photos. If you do not list a font choice, we will use our default font: Gabriola.
Please be sure to double check all spelling and capitalization as we will engrave it EXACTLY as you have noted.

~ Detailed Engravings or Engravings with a lot of text: If you're ordering a box with a detailed engraving, or an engraving with a lot of text, keep in mind that detailed engravings and smaller text shows up better on lighter colored wood (Ambrosia Maple or Cherry).
~Wood color and grain vary from piece to piece, even wood in the same species.
~Walnut wood, although normally darker, can have lighter contrast and the color can vary greatly. Engraving will not show up as well on walnut wood since it is a darker wood.
~Ambrosia Maple wood, also known as Ghost Maple, also has varying color and grain. Although normally light, ambrosia maple wood is known for its dark grain contrasts, adding brown, gray, and bluish highlights to the wood. Ambrosia Maple wood also has worm holes. The worm holes and darker grain highlights come from the Ambrosia Beetle Inhabiting the Tree before it was harvested, hence the name “Ambrosia Maple”.
~Cherry wood and Mahogany wood have the most consistent coloring, although Cherry wood will turn darker over time.

-We select specific cuts for each music box, but if you have a specific preference, would like a lighter piece of walnut, an ambrosia maple piece with a lot of grain contrast, etc., please note your preference in the “Add Note to HandmadeByBryanC” box in your cart and we will do our best to pick a piece to your request.

As every box is hand made for every order, please allow adequate time for us to build, engrave, and finish your personalized box. Check the Shipping Info for processing time.

Upon completion, this item is shipped USPS Priority Mail 2-3 Day for US deliveries, and UPS International Shipping 10-15 Day for International deliveries. International customers are responsible for any customs fees charged by their country before their order can be delivered.
