Spearmint Saori shops Handwoven Scarf Handspun Handmade

This scarf is handwoven in Japanese Saori style. Saori weaving is a style in which anyone can express oneself freely regardless of age, gender, disability or intellectual aptitude to create a piece of art. It is very free and I love how I can just weave and each section has something interesting and beautiful. These are one of a kind pieces that will add joy and warmth to your winters.

For this scarf I used: hand dyed cashmere fine merino yarn (so soft and 16 micron merino so it is as soft as cashmere!), handspun cormo sparkly yarn, handspun art yarn, and hand dyed silk fabric.

The cowl is 9 inches wide and 82 inches long with an extra 6 inches of fringe (total 88 inches long) !

I hand dye the yarn and fiber using professional dyes and I spin the art yarn on my Louet S10.
