This extraordinary mineral is a byproduct of manganese mines and is getting more and more difficult to find in any quantity or quality. The blue mineral that can sometimes be seen in sugilite is also a rare mineral shops called richterite. Sugilite is rare gemstone and is a fantastic addition to anyone's collection and looks awesome in 22k gold. The last few years, the avalibility of this material has plummeted and the price has sky rocketed.
