Large end grain shops cutting board

This large end grain cutting board will give you the surface size to cut just about anything. This board is made of 5 different types of wood to give it that beautiful checkered board look, oak, maple, hickory, mahogany and alder.

This board is 12" wide x 16" long x 1-1/8" thick (approx.)

The board is sanded down to a 320 grit sandpaper to give the surface shops is nice and smooth finish. Once done sanding 4 coats of mineral oil are put on to bring out the natural beauty of the different woods but most important to protect the wood.

I have an option to put a drip edge around the edge of the board on one side of the board. One side will have a drip edge and the other side will be flat.

There are many advantages to end grain cutting boards, one is if they loose there luster, just rub a little mineral oil on and the beauty of the wood pops back to life, but the best advantage is they save on your knives getting dull because you are cutting into the grain, not across. Another great feature is they can also be used as a serving tray for when you are hosting a party.
