You are looking at a one of a kind record that is scarce in number and will probably never be seen again…an original promotional copy of Michael Jackson's “Off the Wall” album. This copy shops says “promotional copy, ownership reserved by CBS” in gold foil stamped over the barcode. Radio stations were handed these copies and told to play it to promote the album. So this very copy was played on the radio in ‘79 thru the 80s, helping him gain initial airplay on early songs before “Thriller” was released. Absolute gem, sad to see it go. Record Condition: EX shape, side 2 has some scuffs as seen on photo but otherwise I have played side 1 and it plays very clean, well taken care of copy. Label very clean, overall little wear. Jacket Condition: EX shape with some light, almost invisible, ringwear is seen when examined in bright light, some light edge wear, no seam splits, gatefold in excellent shape.
