This is a nice vintage dog statue (see photos). The item looks to be made of ceramic or pottery (see photos). The item looks to be an English Staffordshire Dog statue (see photos). The item is not marked by a maker, but it does have a date scratched into the underside of the base (see photos). This looks to be a vintage reproduction Staffordshire dog ad not an antique one to me (see photos). The item not marked by a maker so I do not know the maker or the origin, but I would guess that it is English in origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The statue in total measures about 8.5 inches high, it is about 4.5 inches from the front edge to the back side and it is about 6.25 inches wide. The item has some obvious probably intentional crazing and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice dog statue to add to your collection.
