Antique Toy. Working Chime-A-Phone shops Xylophone Musical Instrument.
This astonishing antique musical toy is in remarkable condition and still has its original box.
A striped tin base supports increasingly larger tin slats strung together,
which, when struck with the wooden mallets, make a sweet, high, bell-like sound.
There is a wonderful small booklet with lyrics and music sheets for old childrens
songs, also with instructions on how to play old fashion childrens games.
The colorful illustrations are by Clara M. Burd.
The booklet has 8 pages with color illustrations of children.


Note. The booklet has some tears, creases, and one page has a small piece cut out.
There are some pencil marks.
I believe the front page is missing.
In my opinion, these do not detract from the booklet. Seeing as it was played with by small children it is lucky to have survived.
The Chime-A-Phone and music booklet stand are both in excellent condition.
One of the wooden mallets has been glued together.
The box is in fair to poor condition.
