Kiyomizu ware, Kawashima Yoshinobu Kiln, Mishima arabesque sake cup set.
The price is for a set of three pieces, a sake cup and two teacups.
The carefully applied sealed floral motifs and generously painted flowers and grasses are in harmony with each other to create this set of deeply flavored sake cups. The line carving of arabesques is also a highlight.
The gilded stripes are gorgeous.
The inka technique, in which a floral pattern is embedded in a curling pattern, was introduced from the Korean peninsula during the tea ceremony.
It has a rugged, handmade look that is hard to cool.
The unevenness of the feldspar glaze is also deeply satisfying and makes this a generous sake cup.
The inside has a white brush pattern. It has a sense of weight, which is rare for Kiyomizu-yaki ceramics.
