Quality Masculine Indigo Mudcloth, New Fabric, shops Handmade

A finely crafted large dark indigo mudcloth, very masculine, all handmade with lots of detail work. Sturdy denimlike fabric that will give a lifetime of pleasure.

Always one of a kind, this African mud cloth was hand loomed and hand dyed using indigo - a natural vegetal dye. It was woven in strips which were finely hand stitched together to create a handsome one of a kind piece which can be used as a throw, a wall hanging, crafted into a kimono or jacket, a ritual shawl or for upholstery. This one has3" hand twisted fringes.

This indigo "mossi" gives character to any room. Imperfections add to the character and uniqueness of each piece.

Gentle wash with a mild soap, low temp dry. Wash separately with darks, and I advise giving it a good soak with some vinegar in the water to help set the dye. It may require several rinses initially.
