Hand-forged rectangular copper tray with shops rainbow fire patina

This copper tray starts out as a 12" x 6" flat sheet of raw copper. I hammer the copper into shape, creating lots of texture with peaks, valleys, and wavy lines shops. I choose this texture for the stunning way it reflects light in multiple directions. I then add a further layer to the design by flame-painting the tray for a multicolor, rainbow-effect patina. The tray is finished with multiple rounds of lacquer to protect the colors, and prevent them from fading or changing over time.

The colors attained by flame vary from oranges and reds, to gray blues, and browns. Each piece is unique in its rainbow of colors.

The tray can be used for indoors or outdoors decor. Not for food. It can be washed with water and mild soap.

The finished tray measures 11.5"-12" in length, and 5.5"- 6" in width, and is about 1/2" - 3/4" deep. Please message me if you need to customize the size or shape.
