Up for sale today is this Nova Scotia provincial highway 8 sign. this sign is made to the exact late 1940s provincial standard that is still used, in the same fundamental form, for the trunk highways in the province to the present day. it resembles the national route shields of a large jurisdiction of some importance, located to the south.

The sign is 14 3/8 x 14 3/8 inches and weighs a solid 4 pounds, 12 ounces. It is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
