Handmade Ragdoll shops Vintage Cotton Bunting Lamb Doll

An original OOAK handmade Lamb Stuffed doll. It is crafted from 100% Cotton fabric with an organic felted cotton filling. Using shops felted cotton, antique cotton bunting and carefully placed stitches this doll has appliqué stitched legs and forelegs, alert folded ears lined with pink felted wool, a securely attached tuft of blue shearling for a tail and an embroidered expressive face. Each step in it's creation was designed to make a unique doll and friend, using natural fiber and vintage textiles, and takes place in my smoke-free home studio.

This doll is 5 1/2 inches tall, is 5 inches from ear tip to ear tip, and is 2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches deep at it's base. This doll is designed for children over the age of three.

A rag doll, a textile toy, is a completely American creation. The shapes and textures invite those who behold it to create their own story. You can lose yourself as well as find yourself in doll play. These rag dolls with expressive faces , are inspired by traditional dolls and dollmaking techniques from the 1800 and early 1900's in America. My dolls are meant for play and are not intended to be replicas of the antiques that inspire me. My dolls are placed squarely in the 21st century for the modern child. It is my hope this one of a kind handmade doll will be a best friend and confidante, a source of comfort and joy for a lifetime.
