PHOTO shops ALBUM BOOK antique photo unused velvet album collectible vintage display

Someone over 100 years ago was gifted this shops fabulous photo album but never added any photos to it. It is large 17 x 9” and over 2” thick. Covered in a velvet fabric that has padding under it…. Beautiful paper lined interior, fancy tin cutouts on the cover. Metal closure latch …. Doesn't hold tight but could probably improve it easily. The tin cover plates have a few broken off tiny pieces and we added some tacks to replace those that were missing. Looks like a copper or brass metal that has oxidized and darkened, not sure if it would clean up. The fabric has a light mossy green hue and some areas have lost some “fluff” of the velvet. Pages inside are mostly good …about 20, and around 10 that have torn paper but could be glued when pictures are inserted. Overall for its age it is remarkable and deserves to be treasured and displayed just as is or personalized. Probably mid to late 1800s but can't be sure…Know that dark looking areas on the cover are the lighting of the velvet nap and not stains
