Mid Century Herman Rose Signed shops Etching, Waterfront, Limited Edition Framed Vintage Art

Lovely and elegantly framed black and white etching entitled "Waterfront", by Herman Rose. There is a short biography on the back of the work giving details about Herman Rose ( 1909 - 2007 ). In 1952 he was included in a show of "15 Americans" along with Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and others, at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. He was a celebrated 20th century artist who helped revive a realist style, painting exactly what he saw without regard to style or composition, quite unlike some of his contemporaries. This signed and numbered etching is probably from the 1960s, and it features an urban waterfront with a shops "Lackawana" sign so this might be Erie County and the shores of Lake Erie near Buffalo, New York. The etching is matted with a light cream outer mat and framed in a simple wood frame painted black. The frame measures 8 3/4" high by 20 11/16" wide by 1/2". In good condition, under glass, wired, and ready to hang.
