Red shops Oak Marquetry Box Featuring Worker Bee

This awesome red oak box features a worker bee. This box will look great on a desk or dresser. This is a smaller version of another shops worker bee box I have listed. The top and bottom of the box is a wonderful iridescent movingue.

The marquetry was executed using the double bevel method. The bee is wenge, dyed veneers and movingue.

The carcass of the box is red oak and features dovetail joints. Surface mounted brass hinges hold the lid in place.

This box measures 9 x 5 x 2 1/2 tall.

This box was finished using all natural tung oil (a Chinese nut tree) and hand rubbed using bee's wax.
