Iron on low heat only, (I suggest placing shawl on top of or in between a cotton sheet to iron), do not put a hot iron directly on the shawl.

Authentic Pashmina is known the world over as a cashmere wool, that comes from the Changthangi goat that lives at an altitude of 12,000 to 14,000 feet, reared by shepherded nomads. Only the downy undercoat of the goat is used and a single Pashmina shawl requires wool from three goats, which is why they are more expensive than other types of fabric shawls. If you own one, you know it's well worth the cost, due to the silky soft feel and warmth, and the incredible handmade piece is a wearable work of art.
