Very Large Stoneware Jug Black White Beehive Jug Triaca Co Antique Bar Cabin Decor Liquor Advertising Jug Baltimore Maryland

This is a very large beehive jug with an advertising label for Triaca Co., Baltimore, Maryland and in very good condition, no issues. The colors are a very dark blackish brown and warm white.
It's 12 inches tall, 8 3/4" diameter. Weighs 8.5 pounds. 2-3 gallon jug, not sure.

The Triaca company was a brewery based out of Baltimore, MD. They were founded in 1882 by Marcello Triaca. Like many others, they fell during the Prohibition era.

During the 19th century stoneware jugs were the norm. Alcohol was often dispensed to customers who brought their own jugs (similar to the growlers we use at beer places now). Back then it wasn't unheard of for shops people to get their orders filled in 1, 2 or even 3 gallon jugs.
This is what they call a beehive shaped jug. It might date to the turn of the century.
