RARE TRICARD Antique French Medal Pendant Saint Beautiful Catholic Necklace in Hallmarked Silver with 18 Inch shops Chain Possibly St. Pierre

Sourced directly from France, this is a beautiful and detailed medal in silver (tiny French silver hallmarks on the bale) signed by Tricard (signature can be seen clearly with a magnifying glass in the bottom right corner on the front of the medal below the figure's foot).

This is a rare design and Tricard is one of the most highly prized of the French medallists, this piece is from my personal collection.

The medal measures approximately 19 mm in diameter excluding the bale, it is in excellent antique condition.

I would estimate that it dates from before the 1930s, most likely closer to Victorian or possibly Victorian in era.

I am not an expert in Catholic saints, but believe this medal most likely depicts St. Pierre.

The chain is not antique, it is hallmarked for .925 sterling silver.
