These are 100% cotton with a 200 thread count (per inch) fabric blocks and NOT iron on appliques.

200 thread cotton is very closely weaved like quilt cotton so it will hold up to many washings unlike cheaper cotton with a lower thread count and is ideal for quilting and sewing.

Fabric thread count will vary between good quality at 60 to 75 threads per inch to HIGH quality with 200 threads per inch in the length which makes the cotton much stronger with a thin soft touch than less expensive thread counts of 60+ per inch.

Fabric blocks in size 4" x 6" have 1/2" or more border around the image on 3 sides. One side has approx. 1/4" border.

Once your project has been made and used and it needs to be washed follow these instructions.

**Wash in cold water on the gentle cycle using detergent for gentles. Lay flat to dry. NEVER machine dry a quilt or other projects made with fabric blocks. I never do and I have quilts my Grandmother made 60-70 years ago. She always said the dryer will age a quilt like nothing else. If you decide to wash in hot water and/or machine dry your blocks WILL fade.**

Sew by machine, by hand, fabric glue or fusible backing.
