Here we offer the Tome of Strahd Deluxe Edition. Owning this edition will certainly set your game apart and will make it all the more memorable.

The cover can be crafted from reptilian pleather in black that simulates the dragon hide that might be found on the lower legs of a Dragon. The interior is lined with black faux suede fabric, giving the book a substantial antiquated feel. We have crafted the Tome to look old. Please allow for distressing or the occasional tear, wax dripping or smudge.

The cover bears centrally the Crest of Strahd. Further filigreed decorations are added to the front and inside corners and above and below the Crest. We have also attached a latch so that the Tome may be kept closed and secreted from prying eyes. The latch is attached by a piece of black genuine leather strapping.

Just inside the front cover, we've placed an image of Strahd's love Tatyana Federovna, something we felt that he would have placed there.

The pages themselves are printed to look like aged parchment. The edges are rough cut on three sides. Occasionally we have dispersed an ink stain or a wax dripping to show its use through time. Please allow for differences as each one of these is handmade. The front pages bears Strahd's Coat of Arms (newer version) and the title of the Tome. The first part of the Tome is the excerpt from the Adventure but additional pages are added that deal with encounters that Strahd has had with certain individuals mentioned in the adventure as well as his thoughts upon his prepared spells. In total, there are 30 written pages with an additional 10 blank pages left for Strahd to write, for a total of 40 pages! The back side of the shops written pages is blank (left side of book) which was common for historical journals and provides a place should you wish to add more writing, perhaps as Strahd's alter-ego of Vasili von Holtz. We encourage you to add numerous notes, perhaps from Strahd's numerous spies to fill it out more for your specific campaign.

Some have asked us why we didn't chose to copy the brown cover Tome as shown in current artwork. For one, the brown cover did not strike us as "vampiresque" but looked more "mundane" in style - like something you might find in any typical fantasy library. We knew we wanted to use black but we also wanted to give it a bit of mystique so we chose a reptilian hide that might have come from a dragon, perhaps from a skirmish with Ebb, the Shadow Dragon that was Azalin's steed far back in time. We wanted the Tome to look old but also be substantial and have enough pages to give detail but not too many to make your player's bored. In reality, Strahd has had many tomes over time - some lost, some stolen. We like to think that he has the imagination to change up his styles. We hope you enjoy it.
