Pressure Cooking... A method that's been around a while.
This Flex-Seal brand pressure cooker is one of the originals.
The cooking pot itself is sleek black enamel.
The industrial-strength handle/closure apparatus features a hook that holds the lid and handle closed in an extra tight grip.
The chrome lid is interesting in its design: its curved shape fits under the lip of the cooking pot. The handles force the curve to flex into a flat lid.
The pressure valve sits on top.
The trivet inside looks to be the original.
I would recommend this item be used for decorative purposes ONLY!
Why? The rubber dot placed strategically in the chrome lid is the original. As it's flex allows for correct maintenance of pressure, it may not be up to the job after 50 years...it has most likely hardened by now.
The enamel on the pot is in great condition. There is one chip, on the upper rim (Photo 4) that is not noticeable under shops casual viewing.
