Product Name: Colonial shops Duck Hunter – Folk Art Carving

shops The "Colonial Duck Hunter" is a one-of-a-kind folk art wood carving!

This gentleman had a very successful day at the hunt – he's all puffed up, strutting and holding two of his ducks!

The sculpture is carved from one piece of wood, with the arms and hat carved separately and attached. His face has a lot of detail – heavy eyebrows, pointy nose and eyes set in. It's a very pleasant face. He looks happy with his efforts. The ducks are also carved and painted wonderfully and in great detail.

He wears a red overcoat, gold vest with a big ruffle, green knickers and yellow stockings. His gray hat sports a feather in the cap. The shoes even have buckles! The painting was done in acrylics. He is painted on all sides so he can be viewed in-the-round.

The Duck Hunter is mounted on a wooden base in the shape of a green leaf and he stands perfectly balanced on his base. The carving measures 10” tall x 5-3/4” wide x 2-1/2” deep. It's signed “R. Weil” on the bottom of the base and dated '02.
